Dr Allison Holland is the curator at the Australian Centre for Photography, Sydney.
Allison has an established career in the cultural sector as a curator, academic and conservator working for the National Gallery of Victoria, National Gallery of Australia, University of Queensland and University of Melbourne.

 

Allison has curated, lectured and published across the breadth of art history and curatorship, from colonial Australian to contemporary global art. Her areas of research include individual and collective trauma, and the nexus of memory and space.

 

Allison has coordinated residencies and exhibitions across various creative media by artist from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Indigenous Australian and Asian.

 

Significant exhibitions curated by Allison are numerous and include the exhibition Joseph Beuys & Rudolf Steiner Imagination, Inspiration, Intuition at the National Gallery of Victoria, 2007 and the exhibition Heath Ledger: a life in pictures at Art Gallery of Western Australia in collaboration with WA Museum, 2017.
